VOLUME
& ACCESS
SURVEY
How it works: You receive a personal visit to your French property at a time and date to suit you and we conduct a volume and access survey.
An inventory of your items is created and measurements are taken and from this data the volume is calculated. The inventory thereafter can be used for Customs at Port.
A volume survey is essential to calculate the size/volume of removal truck or space required and provide the information you need on which to base a professional removal quotation, size of self-hire removal van needed, and/or a quotation for storage.
An access survey is used to alert for accessibility issues for removal vans and lorries and/or the need for extra equipment for your move.
At the same time, if required, we can assess needs for packing, end of move cleaning and refuse removal.
COST: The charges are based on return travel from base to your property address and total time taken. 35 cents per kilometre plus €40 per hour.
Within the volume survey removal cartons and boxes previously ordered can be supplied at the same time which negates any delivery costs.
REMOVAL QUOTATIONS
Based on the data from the removal and access surveys completed at your home we then offer to discuss your individual needs in full confidence without disclosing your name and address with up to 5 suitable professional removal companies and provide you with 3 quotations for you to select from.
COST: Standard charge of €25

We offer to send to you by telephone or email 2 FX companies so that you can make the most from the transfer of proceeds from the sale of your French property from euros to GBP. Experience ease of transfer of funds to the UK at very competitive rates.

PACKING
OF CARTONS/BOXES PRE-REMOVAL
Using cartons/boxes that you supply.

EXTRA
PORTERS ON MOVING DAY
If you do require porters over and above those supplied by the removal company it is far more cost effective to use local porters rather than pay for additional man-power to travel from the UK to assist loading of the removal vehicle.

EMERGENCY
MOVING ASSISTANCE ON REMOVAL DAY
If you have organised your move yourself; outside of our services and find that on removal day not all of your belongings can be moved do not hesitate to call 02 99 98 31 81 and we will check availability to see if we can get a removal van to you to collect the remainder, store and deliver.
CLEANING
A basic cleaning service consisting of cleaning work surfaces, inside cupboards, appliances and/or furniture, vaccuming and cleaning floor surfaces. This service does not include refuse removal.
COST: from €20 euros per hour per cleaner required.
COLLECTION,
REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS ITEMS
You may wish to 'down-size' ahead of moving day.
Examples of items we remove: Unwanted furniture, white goods, rolled carpet/rugs, bagged clothes, bagged linen and soft furnishings, general house-hold items. Gardening equipment and machinery.
Examples of items we cannot take: We cannot take any item which is heavier than 35 kg as a unit if 1 man supplied, no more than 70 kg as a unit if 2 men supplied. No fluids, paints, chemicals, gas bottles, asbestos, pianos, dangerous weapons, pets or animals, garden, food or general builders waste, books or magazines.
Any useable and appropriate items will be donated to Emmaus (Charity for the homeless).
COST: Variable depending on quantity of items and number of men required to complete.
LIAISON
WITH UK STORAGE COMPANIES
Where storage in the UK is required close to your final destination we will locate a choice of 2 suitable local storage companies on your behalf.
